SPARE - PARTS OF SHOT BLASTING MACHINES

Overview

The Shot Blasting Machine is used to clean the castings from the impurities such as rust, scales, sand and the dust particles which are present on the surface. During this process, the steel shots are fired on the casting which will remove the impurities, leaving behind the finished castings. The Spare-parts are used to facilitate the process & also to protect the body of the Machine.

1.Impeller Bolt

Function: Secures the impeller to the blast wheel.
Material: High-strength steel to withstand the high rotational forces.
Maintenance: Regularly check for wear and tightness to ensure secure attachment

2. Impeller

Function: Accelerates and directs the abrasive media towards the workpiece.
Material: Wear-resistant steel or carbide for durability.
Maintenance: Inspect for wear and replace as necessary to maintain optimal performance.

3. Control Cage

Function: Controls the direction and flow of the abrasive media.
Material: Hardened steel to resist wear from the abrasive media.
Maintenance: Regularly inspect for wear and adjust or replace to ensure precise control.

4. Control Cage Adaptor

Function: Connects the control cage to the blast wheel assembly.
Material: High-strength, wear-resistant steel.
Maintenance: Ensure a secure fit and check for wear regularly.

5. Centering Plate

Function: Ensures the proper alignment of the impeller and control cage.
Material: Precision-machined steel for accurate alignment.
Maintenance: Periodically check for wear and ensure alignment is maintained.

6. Wheel

Function: Houses the impeller and facilitates the rotation of the blasting assembly.
Material: High-strength steel, designed to withstand high-speed rotation and abrasive wear.
Maintenance: Regularly check for balance and wear to prevent vibration and ensure efficient operation.

7. Blade

Function: Propels the abrasive media within the blasting machine.
Material: Wear-resistant steel or carbide for longevity.
Maintenance: Frequently inspect and replace worn blades to maintain consistent blasting performance.

8. Hub

Function: Central component that holds the impeller and connects to the drive mechanism.
Material: High-strength steel for durability and stability.
Maintenance: Ensure secure attachment and check for wear or damage regularly.

9. Hub Seal

Function: Prevents abrasive media from entering the hub and damaging the bearings.
Material: Durable rubber or polymer to provide a tight seal.
Maintenance: Regularly inspect for signs of wear or damage and replace to maintain proper sealing.
